SCFRI is host to not just an academic team full of bright young talents who boast strong  research capabilities, but also an expert team that consists of knowledgeable and experienced talents with strong reputations at home and abroad. In total, the Institute has more than 150 professionals and technical specialists, over 80% of whom are under the age of 45. There are 13 talents with the title of senior professional, 29 with the title of associate senior professional, 10 post-doctorates (3 of them being in-service), 19 doctor's degree holders, 79 master's degree holders, 8 experts covered by the special allowance of the State Council, 9 experts benefiting from ministerial allowances, 2 Sichuan academic leaders, 1 expert making prominent contributions to Sichuan, 1 candidate for the head of Sichuan academy and technology, 1 listed in the Sichuan Provincial High-level Talent Plan, 2 listed in the Chengdu Municipal High-level Talent Plan, and 5 high-level returned talents from overseas to Sichuan Province. In recent years, the Institute has attracted and employed plenty of fresh graduates with PhDs or master's degrees, who have mostly graduated from top-ranking universities at home and abroad, including the University of Science and Technology of China, Tianjin University, Sichuan University, the University of Edinburgh, Imperial College London, and the University of Tokyo.
